Project Manager
Simply Automated is looking for an addition to our team that will bridge the gap between our on-site installation, sales, and leadership team. Our preferred candidate will coordinate all aspects of our project implementation and assist with other variables in our daily installation efforts.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate workload and schedule installation work to best utilize effective manpower and maximize efficiency
- Maintain our rigorous quality assurance standards in all work we perform
- Balance demands of multiple projects happening simultaneously over the stretch of weeks, months or years
- Understand and interpret in-house CAD drawings, proposals, scope of work, and other various pieces of the Simply Automated Design-Build Process, while being attentive to additional details necessary to eliminate installation inefficiencies
- Anticipate and coordinate upcoming project phases and related tasks
- Work with procurement to ensure equipment is ordered accurately & staged for installation
- Work with our lead technicians to ensure key project pieces are successfully programmed and ready-to-install
- Coordinate with builders and additional subcontractors on job site
- Maintain our profitability targets while delivering our world-class value proposition to our clients
- Assist on-site during the project, including but not limited to pre-wire, trim out & finish stages of installations
- Help maintain best-practice installation methods, quality workmanship and technician safety while on-site
- Effectively and diligently manage and develop our skilled installation team — including scheduling, task prioritization, and directing work assignments to ensure effective project execution
- Oversee job performance of our technicians
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed and collaborate with our leadership team on developing efficient workflow process and optimization
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Degree in construction management or similar, preferred.
- 2+ years experience in the A/V or Home Automation industry with experience in leading large-scale, high-end projects preferred
- 2+ years in project management (General Construction, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing trades)
- Experience in the construction industry and on-site project management experience
- A working knowledge of major home automation & A/V systems — preferably Control4, Josh.ai, Alarm.com, Savant or similar
- General experience with technology — PC/MacOS, Enterprise-Grade Networking, Home Theater, and other various A/V technologies
- Exceptional big-picture planning, efficiently delegate and execute tasks while maintaining deadlines to ensure a timely delivery.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively and confidently manage a team
- Demonstrate an ambition to exceed expectations with our clients and trade partners at all times
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — emphasizing transparency, authenticity and respectfulness in every interaction both internally and externally
- Solution-centric, organized, attention-to-detail with excellent follow-through
- Resourceful and willing to work patiently through challenging situations
- Demonstration of self-discipline, motivation, with a consistent passion for excellence and initiative
- Ability to work independently and a team environment

Position Requirements:
- Full-Time Position
- Valid Drivers License with clean driving record with no major violations in the last 5 years
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Service areas include but are not limited to: multiple job sites in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and surrounding regions
- Out-of-State Travel occasionally required for industry trade shows and existing clients who have homes outside of the Pittsburgh, PA area
- Proficient in using and/or learning applications such as Slack, Monday(.com), Office/iWork Suite and the like
